Spike Chunsoft Co., Ltd. has released the digital Chinese version of the 3D action game "BAKERU," developed by Good-Feel Co., Ltd.. The game is now available on Steam/Nintendo Switch platforms.

In addition, the Steam platform has also simultaneously launched a bundle set that includes the main game and the digital soundtrack. All related products of "BAKERU" on Steam will be on sale for a week starting today, with a discount available for early purchases during the sale period. The "BAKERU" digital soundtrack includes a total of 15 tracks and is available for separate purchase in addition to being included in the bundle set.

A free demo of the Nintendo Switch version, exclusively for overseas players, is now available for download on the Nintendo eShop.

In the 3D action game "BAKERU," the tanuki boy "BAKERU" uses a taiko drum as his weapon, along with transformation abilities and various action elements, to embark on an exciting adventure in a world of fairy tales and legends. This game is carefully developed by Good-Feel Co., Ltd., with Yuen Ebisu as the producer and Tadanori Tsukawaki as the director. "BAKERU" was first released on Nintendo Switch in Japan in November 2023 and received high praise upon release. Now, the much-anticipated Chinese digital version is launched and available on both Steam and Nintendo Switch platforms.

Each stage in the game is set against a backdrop inspired by famous scenic spots across Japan, offering more than 50 unique stages spread across 47 prefectures. In addition to the main action stages, there are shooting stages, racing stages, boss stages, and intense giant robot battles, providing a rich variety of gameplay. Moreover, besides the exhilarating action of using the taiko as a weapon, BAKERU can also transform into legendary heroes such as "Momotaro" and "Kintaro," each transformation bringing new action elements, offering endlessly varied and highly entertaining gameplay.

Game Setting Inspired by Japanese Cities

The game's journey begins in Tanuki Village, located in Tokushima Prefecture, and takes players on an adventure across 47 cities throughout Japan. Players will control BAKERU to break through enemy forces and solve mechanisms using satisfying action commands, progressing through unique stages of varying difficulty. For example, the "Yamagata Prefecture" stage is set in a beautiful hot spring town with snow-covered scenery; the "Okayama Prefecture" stage features traditional Japanese buildings, with players navigating along the river to reach the goal; the "Yamanashi Prefecture" stage is set against the backdrop of Mount Fuji's slopes, with players showcasing their skills in a popular theme park.

Collectibles

Each stage can be replayed an unlimited number of times after completion, allowing players to meticulously search for any missed collectibles and challenge themselves to collect all "Local Specialties" and "One Lesson at a Glance."

Local Specialties
Various "Local Specialties," such as triangular pennants, regional specialties, and famous craft products, are hidden within the game's stages. Challenge yourself to collect all the local specialties from different cities.

One Lesson at a Glance
BAKERU will encounter the wandering sage "Master Benji" in different stages, who will teach a "One Lesson at a Glance" each time they meet. The content of "One Lesson at a Glance" covers a wide range of topics, from local trivia related to different regions of Japan to some inexplicable and seemingly useless knowledge.
