Publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer DigiTales Interactive are thrilled to announce that their narrative-driven 2.5D sci-fi detective adventure game, Between Horizons, will officially launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on September 19. In the game, players will board the spaceship Zephyr on its journey to a distant planet, taking on the role of newly appointed Chief of Security, Stella, to uncover a conspiracy that threatens the ship's social order and mission.

Between Horizons is a 2.5D pixel-style adventure game focused on branching narratives, exploration, and investigation. Decades into Zephyr's voyage, a sudden crisis emerges, endangering the mission's success. Players must use detective skills to solve shipboard puzzles and make key decisions that impact the overall story. Along the way, players will collect clues, connect evidence, and confront the residents of Zephyr. Can you uncover the truth before the crisis unfolds?

Choices are central to the game, requiring you to constantly re-evaluate your moral compass. Even if players make a "wrong choice," the story continues, adding to the urgency and significance of each decision. The DigiTales team has drawn heavily from their first game, Lacuna, applying the best solutions in detective game design to maximize player autonomy during investigations while maintaining a tight and meaningful narrative pace.
