Konami Digital Entertainment Limited today announced the latest major update for eFootball™ for the 2024/25 season.

Several changes have been made to the core gameplay, bringing players a series of in-game events, along with more news about eFootball™ being used in the upcoming FIFAe World Cup™.

New Gameplay Features

The latest eFootball™ update brings a series of updates to the gameplay experience for players. Based on continuous analysis of feedback from the player community, KONAMI has determined that the game will undergo the following changes.

The new "Booster Slot" is a way to customize player attributes, giving them additional ability boosts. By obtaining and using "Random Booster Tokens" and "Select Booster Tokens," players can build their players with 17 different types of Boosters. In this update, the "Booster Slot" will appear on the Epic cards of world-renowned legendary players Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Deco, and L. Giuly.

Contract limitations will be removed, meaning players will be able to use all the players they own at any time, regardless of when they signed them. They will also be able to regain the services of players whose contracts have already expired.

An automatic option for player promotion has been added. This means that players can choose not to worry about the complexities of balancing upgrades, making player training simpler, while also meeting the need to freely reset player upgrades without spending GP.

eFootball™ now introduces the "Finesse Dribble," enhancing usability and providing more tactical options for players on both offense and defense.

The new eFootball™ update will bring a series of new events and rewards for both new and veteran players, helping to strengthen their Dream Teams and enhance the gameplay experience in both single-player and co-op modes.

After completing the "Skill Up" tutorial, players can obtain a Showtime Messi card, and during the event period, they can also receive up to 7 random booster tokens, 7 skill training programs, 300 eFootball™ coins, and other free login rewards.

The Startup events also include special login gifts, such as Focus Card FC Barcelona Robert Lewandowski, Focus Card FC Bayern Leroy Sané, and two Focus Card draw opportunities for FC Barcelona and FC Bayern.

Players can obtain a wealth of in-game items through the full set of event achievements and the Tour Event—items essential for walking the road to glory in the world’s leading free-to-play football simulation game.

Messi and Neymar will appear with their teammates in the "Ambassador Edition" card packs.

The card packs include the named football ambassador and 10 world-class players who play with them (referred to as ambassador packs in the mobile version and on Steam).
