SEGA Corporation has announced the summary of information regarding the purpose and journey of the world tour in the new RPG developed by STUDIO ZERO under ATLUS, "Metaphor Fantasy: ReFantazio." The game will be released on October 11, 2024, on Xbox Series X|S, Windows, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and Steam platforms.

■ Purpose of the Journey and Storyline

• World Tour Journey
  The protagonist’s group participates in the "King's Election" to save the cursed prince. To become the king, one must gain the trust of the most citizens. To win the trust of the people and defeat strong competitors, the protagonist's group embarks on a journey around the world.
  This election will decide the next king within about six months. In this limited time, can the protagonist’s group gain the trust of the people, and what achievements will they accomplish during this period?

• A Journey Full of "Realistic" Daily Life
  To allow players to experience the daily life of a real journey, the concept of "dates" has been added to the game. Just as modern travelers often have time limits like three days and two nights, in this game, you can enjoy travel time at each stopover in a modern travel style.
  The journey will take players to bustling cities like the capital, rural towns, and seaside cities, with different encounters and events at each stop, such as residents living in the town, unique facilities, local specialties, and sometimes monsters that threaten the safety of the area's inhabitants.
  Within limited time, players are free to choose where and when to go and what to do, enjoying a "realistic" journey in the unique way this game offers.

• Transportation Tool: "Armored Vehicle"
  The large towns are separated by dangerous areas called "wilderness," inhabited by thieves and monsters, making it difficult for people to travel freely. The "Armored Vehicle" is a large armored vehicle used to move safely through the wilderness, powered by magic and able to move autonomously. It can be said to be a "mobile base." The protagonist's group will travel in this "Armored Vehicle" to gain the support of the people across various locations.

• Time Spent in the Armored Vehicle
  While traveling in the Armored Vehicle, you can engage in various activities, just like traveling in a camper with friends, such as cooking, reading, chatting with companions, etc. If there’s nothing to do, you can even take a nap. Players can use the operations room, kitchen, entertainment room, and other facilities inside the vehicle. You can also go up on the deck to experience the wide world as you travel in the Armored Vehicle. Various activities and events will take place in the Armored Vehicle, which is one of the unique elements of this game.

■ Stopover Locations during the Journey

• The Ancient Town of Martira
  The ancient town of Martira is completely different from the capital and is a town full of rural charm. There’s a local specialty dish made from a certain type of larvae, which locals use to treat visitors. The town seems peaceful, but in the nearby desert, there are monsters known as "Giant Sand Worms," causing anxiety among the residents and leading to events that threaten their safety. The protagonist's group will confront the events occurring in this town.

■ Stopover Location: Grandtolado, the Capital City
The setting of the story is the United Kingdom of Uchronia, and this is the kingdom's capital.
The city is inhabited by various races, with people constantly coming and going. The well-maintained streets and bustling markets give a bright and vibrant impression. However, there are execution sites in the alleys, and people curled up on the roadside.
Poverty, inequality, and discrimination spread throughout the world of this game, and even in the capital, many live in unease.

"Metaphor Fantasy: ReFantazio" is the official name of the new RPG "PROJECT Re FANTASY," previously announced by STUDIO ZERO under ATLUS.
