Ubisoft has revealed the future plans for "The Crew" series, including multiple new elements and gameplay introduced in the massive update of "The Crew: Motorfest" showcased at the "2024 The Crew Showcase" event. The development team at Ubisoft Ivory Tower fully introduced players to the second year content, which will be grandly opened with the launch of Season 5 on November 6, and also added a brand-new playground for all players to enjoy for free: the picturesque island of Maui.

During the live event, the development team also promised to ensure the long-term playability of "The Crew 2" and "The Crew: Motorfest." Both games will remain playable and will add offline modes in the future. Moreover, players who haven't started their engines yet will be able to grab "The Crew 2" at the most affordable price ever (limited-time offer of 5 yuan) and "The Crew: Motorfest" (at a minimum of 30% off)*! Starting from November 6, all "The Crew: Motorfest" players can freely travel to Maui Island, enjoying over 100 square kilometers of pure road and off-road fun, accounting for nearly 50% of the size of the base game’s Oahu Island. The transition from one island to another will be a seamless experience, and players can reach Maui Island via sea, air, or the new bridge’s road without any loading screens. This new playground aims to showcase Maui Island, a vibrant melting pot of cultures blending ancient Hawaiian traditions with modern influences, making the player's journey more fascinating than ever. Players will explore roads leading to Hana, dense bamboo forests, enchanting waterfalls, and narrow bridges offering stunning views of Maui’s natural wonders. In addition, there is the scenic beach of Kaihalulu Bay with its sparkling red sands, and they will explore the legendary Haleakala National Park, also known as the “House of the Sun”! Kaihalulu Bay is the island’s vibrant "heart," with its bustling downtown, deep-water harbor, and lush suburbs. Maui Island is calling, with endless exploration and thrilling adventures ahead!

Season 5 is the first part of three major updates in the second-year content, bringing free and exciting new experiences to players. The fan-favorite "Made in Japan" playlist will also return, with the all-new "Volume 2" content offering players new neon-themed races, events, and locations. A brand-new street racing team has arrived, determined to dominate the asphalt tracks and challenge players! Once all the main events are completed, players will unlock the Rivals Race board and engage in dynamic 1v1 races on the open roads of the two islands, facing even more intense competition. And this is just the beginning. Season 5 will deliver weeks of rich content, including new challenges, car culture themes, and exciting collectibles.

Finally, the second-year update will introduce paid PVE content called "The Chase Squad," a new twist on car chase gameplay in "The Crew: Motorfest." As part of a squad, players will master the art of the chase, embarking on thrilling journeys to hunt, outsmart, and outpace urban racers in intense confrontations across the island. French artist Carpenter Brut has composed an exclusive track "Death Racer" for this mode, designed to ignite the passion of the chase and keep players focused as they pursue rivals across Oahu and Maui. This soundtrack will also be released this fall on all digital platforms.

"The Chase Squad" experience will also be included in the Year 2 Pass, which goes on sale on November 6. It will also be part of the new Gold Edition and Ultimate Edition of "The Crew: Motorfest," which launch on the same day. The Year 2 Pass will unlock a total of 20 additional vehicles: 9 on the first day of release and the remaining 11 gradually released throughout the year.
